THE END OF GERM
It's a sad day when UFO watchers and sci-fi aficionados lose their space to do their thing. If there is no woodwork to come out of, where will our weirdos stay? So in our own special tradition of supporting all things wonderful and nerdy, even when it's sad, come pay tribute to GERM - David E. WIlliams' legendary alternative Northern Liberties gallery/book store that is closing its doors this week.
Good night, sweet prince.

The New Year offers so many possibilities. Next year's Antwon Dodson, Double Rainbow or Wikileaks is still only a twinkle in someone's eye. All tomorrow's Chilean miners and massive snow storms are but uncertainties in the collective unconscious. So let's celebrate time's inevitable march forward, drink to the past, drink to the future and drink.
National Mechanics New Year's Eve.
$60 gets you in @ 8pm, drinks until the ball drops and a full spread buffet from 8-10. $75 a piece for 4-6 friends gets you the same deal plus a booth, table service and a complimentary bottle of bubbly. Mad Decent's Dirty South Joe and Gun$ Garcia will be providing musical accompaniment for the festivities. BIGUPNYE!
