“DANGIT SAM. GET IN HERE!” yells my editor, Mack, from inside his office. I jump up from my desk. “AND DONT FORGET THE NOTES FROM LAST NIGHTS QUIZZO!”

Darnit! Where in the heck did I leave those notes?!?

I know I had them. I remember writing down the name of the winning team, something about “Queefer Sutherland”, that old guy from that movie with Goldie Hawn and Matthew McConaughey, Fool's Gold.

God, I love that movie.

But right now, I've got an angry editor breathing down my neck.Where are those notes?!? Not in this pile; not this one, either.

I check and recheck each Drawer.

Empty.

Empty.

Empty... except for a single Dorito.

Mmmmm. That Dorito was delicious. Okay, think. Where did you have those notes last?

I talked to the winning team, and then I talked to those losers, what were they called? “Whose a noob?” I don't even know what that means. They were too drunk on their complimentary losing-team-shot, courtesy of the people at Root. And then what happened?

It all gets a little fuzzy there.

Next thing I remember, I woke up on the kitchen floor. I was late for work, so I took off wearing the same clothes I had on last night. That's it!

I check my pockets and find the list of names!

And congratulations to the losing team “What is a Nubian?” for undeservedly getting a free round of Root liquor. Danielle, Jay, Paul, Time and Torrey agreed Root was, in fact, a drink.
