Ahhhhh. I lost by 2 points in the Quiz, I'm still hungover and it's going on 5:30, I blew a ton of money buying rounds last night and I STILL FEEL GREAT! McCain looked like a cranky old man while Obama looked like a president, the Sarah Palin is a Cunt shirts made it all the way to McCain's eyes and THE PHILS ARE IN THE SERIES. It really doesn't get much better than experiencing the lows that the Phillies have dished out in the past and then, conversely, feeling the enormous, almost opiated, high when they do well. I walked to work with blurry vision, sunglasses on, (as a hangover mask, not as a sun blocker) nauseous, headachey and happy in the knowledge that almost everyone else on the street was in the same Philadelphia sports induced stupor.

So rather than write a blog about my hilariously sour disposition after losing or being too hungover to clack on my keyboard or whatever misanthropic diatribe I can come up with after too many bourbons and beers, this week is purely positive. I'm walking on puffy clouds of sunshine, rainbows and daisies. I'm swimming in silk and all I can taste is honey. That whistley version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is playing on repeat and birds are whistling while smiling bees are buzzing about flowers bursting with sugary, sweet nectar. The Phillies are in the World Series guys, and all is right in the world.

This weeks 2nd place team was Lil' Roy's Back in Town consisting of JohnnyBoy, Violetta, Catherine, Tony Opera and Eduardo Montebon. Coming in 1st place and hailing (almost entirely) all the way from the left coast was Dixie consisting of Shannon "Spike" Jay, Jon "Irish" Goodwin, Mark "Warhammer" Warmerdam, Matthew "Dry Eyes" Harrison and Liz "Treachery, Treachery Most Foul" Rissover. (I made up Liz's nickname...Judas!)
